Yeah I know, it has one of those dreaded by many in this forum “carry handles”

I wouldn't mind having that straight stocked, slim forearmed 336. But I sure as heck would not encumber it with a carrying handle.

That looks familiar! This is my only scoped lever-gun, but it also the rifle I have killed more deer with than any I own. Possibly more than all the others centerfires combined. 35 remington

I have a 7X30 94 with a "carrying handle", but that's the only lever I own that wears one.

If'n I NEED meat, I use a scope... when I want to give 'em a sportin' chance, I carry an iron sighted carbine... (killed a doe antelope bout three weeks ago with a 1940 Winchester 94... as God and Winchester designed it.. ) guess you could say I was shooting from memory.. shore couldn't see the sights to well...
