The guys at the importer said the wood varies quite a bit. In about three or four weeks I'll get to check them out.
That is not the fanciest wood I've ever seen but it beats the heck out of the wood on my Marlin and my Winchester.

I think they are too expensive. I'd as soon have the NEF for a lot less money. It's made in the USA, and typically has a nice black walnut stock.
