Your S&W
Well the thread on S&W quality, along with an image of Model 28 got me to wondering. Why not have folks post images of their most often shot S&W's
Here's mine. A Model 1917 from the Brazilian contract.

I really do like Smith & Wesson revolvers. They are pictured in order of rounds fired. I haven't even fired the Brazilian this year. I usually fire Auto Rims through it.

It has been fitted with a CCH hammer and trigger... I know, silly, but the "sameness" of all the parts offended me... and I got the hammer and trigger free! I think it looks much better now!

I shoot this gun at every opportunity. About 5000 rounds this year.
What most people call a "right" is the equivalent of a dog walking on a leash. Just because your leash is a little longer than the other dogs' does not mean you don't have a master.

Re: Your S&W
Not sure which has more rounds through it. They've both been carried as a duty gun when I drove armored trucks, both been out hunting, both crossed the country so I guess they are about on equal footing.

Re: Your S&W
S&W double actions are simply my favorite revolvers. since I down sized my collection, I have two Smiths and If I needed to, they could serve all my handgun needs the rest of my life. The first, my 629 3" Trail Boss, which is one of my primary carry handguns in the woods, hiking, hunting, or in truck. The next is a recent acquistion from a member here, my model 18 in .22lr. I'm looking for some nice grips for it.

I just LOVE picture threads!!! What a bunch of great looking revolvers.
Re: Your S&W
I had to think on it. My most often shot (lately) S&W is this Smith and Wesson Model 1905, 4th Change in .32-20. Ammo lovingly loaded by JimT. I still must have 300 or so rounds to shoot.

Re: Your S&W
My only S&W is a model 99 subcompact in 40 caliber. Since it would be totally out of place here, I won't show it. I really like the very short travel to trigger re-set and the button on the slide to decock the striker.

No pic at the moment, put I've ran about 2400 rounds through a model 15-4 in the last two years that I only paid $200 for. Feels good on the hip even after a 8 mile hike and hits were I aim.
Love those older S&W!!

Re: Your S&W
Well, good people, I have only one Smith & Wesson, a Model 12-2 (M&P Airweight), made circa 1976. It appears to have spent many years as someone's duty gun, with all of the finishwear in the correct places:
Here are some pretty pictures:

Re: Your S&W
Howdy
Well since you asked, here are a few of my favorites:
New Model Number Three, 44 Russian caliber. Shipped August 1882, refinished at the S&W factory March of 1965. Classiest gun I own.
Yes, I do shoot it. No point owing a fine old gun if you ain't going to shoot it. Black Powder only of course.
Coolest old gun I own. S&W 44 Double Action, 44 Russian caliber, shipped October of 1881. Yes, I shoot this one too, Black Powder only.
Here are some other favorites, although not quite so old.
M&P, probably circa 1915.
K38 at top, M&P Target Model below.
M&P circa 1948 at top and Model 10-5 circa 1968 at bottom.
A very early 38/44 Heavy duty. Shipped September of 1930. Incorrect grips.
44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model. Date unknown at this time, currently being lettered.
2" M&P circa 1948
Model 36. For social occasions.
Brazilian 1917s. When just one won't do.
Model 19-3. Bought brand, spanky new in 1975.
Model 17-3. Also bought brand, spanky new in 1975.
I have a few other favorites, but don't have photos of them up at this time. Yes, I shoot all of these guns. I only have one safe queen, an early Model 27.

Re: Your S&W
I need to take another photo
I replaced the rubber grip with a set of water buffalo horn scales, shaped like the original wood and including the Smith badge.
It's really pretty

This 1870 or 1871 s&w american cost me a marlin mountie for it and the story. A guy I worked with said a old couple that he knew in church gave it to him because they knew he liked guns. They were from montanna and said it was found hidden in a old barn that was being tore down that once was a stagecoach stop. The barrel has been cut back. I wish this one could talk!

Re: Your S&W
I have a few S&W's, but two that are favorites when I go shooting.
This one was my competition gun when I used to shoot action pistol. It's a highly modified Model 10 in .38 Spl.:
This one is a real favorite too. An old Model 25 in .45 Colt that is deadly accurate. It prints one hole groups at the indoor 50 ft. range, if I do my part:

Re: Your S&W
I don't shoot this oe the most, I carry it the most. I shoot a K-22 most. Don't have a picture of it. The 29 shoots pretty well, I made 5 hits for 6 shots on an 18"w x 36"H plate @ 300 yards with it, tho right before that, I made 6 for 6 with the K-22. I was cheating tho, two hands and kneeling.

Well, this J frame goes on almost every trip to the range, with the M27 often following along:
And the snub M66 K frame might tie the above N frame for rounds fired, the M19-3 always shoots well:
