1953 Marlin 336C .35 Rem

New wood, through bolt and bedded.
New blue finish and a Mic action job.
First three rounds at 50 yds. was 1 1/2" about an inch right.

Any chance of a "before" picture. That looks great; what is the barrel length? 20"?

I didn't get a before picture.
Just imagine the rifle with the old smooth wood oil soaked and spongy before and after the action.
The metal was all about 75%

Well Tom, it is a beauty now. He did a great job on it. Let us know how it shoots. Is it a 20" barrel?

Yes is a 20"barrel.
Open sights at 50 yards with 73 year old eyes, shooting at a blurred center, produced a 1 1/2 group just to the right of center.

Had Mic do the same to my Marlin 338 XLR, plus trigger job. It shoots extremely well, and that is with the Remington round nose bullets. I posted on here a while back that I put a five shot group at 100yds within a quarter, I know, because I actually used a quarter to cover the bullets. Freaking love it! It is going moose and deer hunting next week. First time out.

Thinking about having Mic do some other things for me, I just can't decide WHAT yet. Still thinking? 356? 307? A wild cat and then have Mic work his magic??

He is class act. Kept me informed EVERY DAY and sent pictures of what he was doing and how it was going.

Great looking rifle.

Question if you don't mind? What's done with the old tang screw when the thru bolt is installed? I'm hoping to get my 1894 project gun back from the gunsmith so I can start fitting my parts & finish up metal work before it goes to Turnball for CCH and some new barrel markings.
