Rossi R92-51500 Stainless Steel Finish

Post by Frankdozer »

I just finished installing a new extractor in my Rossi R92-51011 357 stainless steel 24" barrel. It operates better than new. Touched up the action and it's not slick as snot but close. On the stainless steel receiver, there are microscopic fine scratches I'd like to remove. What is a good way to get the finish back to like new. I'm hesitant to use steel wool, sandpaper etc............But will if that's the general consensus. Thanks, Frank

You'd probably be safe starting with a metal polishing paste/creme like Flitz, Mother's or something similar.
