win. 94/1894s in sw wash.

Post by pokey »

i've recently noticed some becoming available, at reasonable
prices locally. a recent trip to one of the toy shops here
i found 6 94/1894 cabines, 4 were pre64s. they went from
350.00 to 500.00 all have issues. some have no finish, some
refinished, some drilled and tapped for scopes. for the price
they would all make great shooters. one was a 1939/40
vintage that looks to have been redone at the factory.
has proof marks on barrel and receiver ring, faint stampings,
lots more bluing on the receiver than the butt plate.
but.... very well done no dishing, no rounded corners,
no flattened screws. the drag is it has been d&ted for
a scope. i may have to make an offer any way.
anyone interested, i will give you the shop name and number.
careful what you wish for, you might just get it.

Does the Cabelas there in Lacey still have a bunch of leverguns on their used gun rack? They did when I was there, but that was a couple of years ago. It was almost levergun heaven then! :)

Lots of levers on their used rack and even more drool makers in the gun library :o
