Not exactly a lever gun. But I thought you guys might enjoy my new MZ. The brown truck dropped it off this morning. Now I need to get out on the front porch and regulate those sights. I have been waiting for this one for awhile. But I think it was worth the wait. Now I need to pay for it with some venison in the freezer. And hopefully I can get out with it next summer and give the ground hogs a real hard time. Tom.
Some have the lock on the right side of the gun, and some have the lock on the proper side of the gun! Being a lefty, that flinter has a lot of appeal to me. The maple stock sure has beautiful figure, and that looks to be a Siler lock, always a good choice.
It appears to be a custom or semi-custom rifle, who was the builder? What caliber. C'mon man, tell us more!!

I ordered the rifle from TVM. But I had them do the work. The rifle is a 50 caliber with a Rice 38" swamped barrel. The lock is a large Siler, with a Davis set trigger. Add a chunk of nice Maple and alot of handwork. They do a nice job. The wood to metal fit is very nice. And the swamped barrel gives the rifle a real feel. The fixtures are brass. Tom.

Jack Garner is really great to work with and it looks like they did a great job. I did the same rifle kit from him in Lefty about 5 years ago, though another builder put it together. I sold it to raise money for a charity but am having another one built just like it though with parts from a different makers. I would go with TVM again in a heartbeat though.

that is beautiful. I have a real attraction for fine flintlocks. I wish you much success. I love mine. The Siler lock is a great lock. I have one on mine. Beautiful wood. I chose cherry for mine but I really like the tiger striping you have on that one. Congrats.

By Gar I say the lock is on the correct side!.. Yuh see boys, the way to do 'er is, you shoulder the rifle on the right shoulder & close the left eye that's behind the goll derned lock.. Thatterway your aiming eye won't automatically snap shut from all the commotion, fire & smoke a goin' on over in front of the left eye , otherwise causing you to flinch and ruin yer aim....That model you've got there is nearly perfected.. they jus been puttin' the cheek pad on the wrong side all this time.. Other'n that she's really really nice.. a beaut

I still ain't got all them brass shotshells shot up! They's loaded pretty heavy! More'n a few at a time hurt my old shoulder!

There is a fine line between hobby & obsession! AND... I'm over it!!
No I ain't ready, but let's do it anyway!
Beautiful, beautiful rifle. I've often thought of getting one of TVM's kits and putting it together, but again without a shop it would be hard to do. Can't wait to see the range report.
