Guns, as most of us know already, are really cool gadgets! And it's a bonus that they need other gadgets to load 'em, clean 'em, aim 'em and to carry/store 'em, so there's always room for another neat gadget in my house. This one isn't gun related, but I did need a small flashlight the other night when leaving the rifle club in the dark. The overhead light was out, so it was really tough to see the combo on the lock that I had to open. A small flashlight would have been worth it's weight in gold at that moment...
A few days later, I found this little gem -- in a local gun shop for just $8 each -- so I got one each for my wife's and my keys.
Here's the package so you'll know what to look for: And here's a view of how small it really is: Now before you ask "Yeah, but is it bright?", let me tell you the specs.
It is the "Nano Light" by StreamLight and weighs .36 oz, is 1.25" long, is waterproof, has an LED bulb (10 lumens, lasts for 100,000 hours), and the included batteries will last for 8 hours.
OK, maybe "10 lumens" doesn't sound like much, but in a darkened room, here's how much light it puts out: I've tried a few key ring lights before, but always took them off because they were too big or just didn't work well. So this is the best of the tiny but useful lights that I've ever seen. And with the quality of StreamLight behind it, to me -- it's a keeper!
Now if I could only find where I left my keys........................
