Just got done with 2000 rds of Match .223 loadings for my twin Colt Match HBARS
1500 in the Army Surplus ammo containers, and 500 in ten of the 50rd mtm containers.
Nothing real pretty to look at except for myself to love
Setting them up on the table?--------------Not
Nice stuff Steve

Wow. That's an impressive yield.
Is it really "craftsmanship" when one uses a machine and mass produces a product?

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

i walk a different path. no speed at all.
start with this make some of these. put them with these. in this. till they look like this. shoot 'em out of something like this. till they look something like this. collect them and start over.
100 rounds may take a week or more. no hurry.
they don't call me pokey for nothin'.

Nice work Steve. The only things I turn in out in mass are my .54 Caliber round balls for my Flintlock. Sorry. Once I'm done handloading the 100 rounds of 45-70 I will post them. Nicely arranged for photos.
Pokey, well done to you to! We walk a similar path, but my press is hand held press and the rilfe is an 1886. I'm a little more pokey than you so I won't catch up with you on the path if you are ahead of me.

I subscribe to the Pokey method. A single stage RCBS Rockchucker and a Lee handpress for my BP loads. When I get the room I'd like to move up to a Dillon progressive, but for now they're made one at a time. Nothing worth taking a picture of and certainly it wouldn't look as good as yours.

Nice job Steve.
As you says we have a lot of talented people out there. I'm embarrassed to say my little kluge is no where near what I've seen here, but it's mine, made the whole setup myself, fits my space in my little corner of my garage.
Nice job, thanks for the pics Steve and Pokey.
And the 'impressive results' isn't always quantity, it's 'pride of ownership. workmanship and self satisfaction'.
Love it, God bless America!

Do you use those plated bullets for full-power .357 loads?

Re: OT Sort of - Pics of Reloading Craftsmanship
Yep, and I've clocked them at 1,977fps out of my 24" Rossi to boot. No evidence of tumbling or plating shedding off at either 50 or 100yds. Accuracy was good (for my level of shooting ability and iron sights) with an under 2" group at 50 yds. BTW, I've also clocked some Rainier plated 30 carbine bullets out of my 1942 M1 carbine at 1,974fps with similar results.Washita wrote:Do you use those plated bullets for full-power .357 loads?

Steve, you got too much time on your hands, lol.
Actually i can't share my pictures until I polish some brass and clean things up a bit!!!
No question this proves factory ammo can't hold a candle to a reloading craftsman. You have all given me a standard to strive for.
