Shootin pictures

Post by Dakota7 »

Lots of talk of cabin fever and such lately got me think about summer and shooting more again. And of course warmer weather. Could have been the blizzard that we got yesterday also. Anyway, thought that I would post a few pictures of some of the matchs around North Dakota and Montana.

This one is from the BPCR Roosevelt Shoot near Amidon ND, me in the red cap. Target is on the cutbank above the creek.

It was about 105 degree this day and people where sure looking for shade, that sure warms me up thinking about it.
Image

Firing line gunsmithing, tighting up a loose screw on the sight, sure didn't help the score that day. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

The BPCR matchs vary but some are out 1000 yards, the target on the cutbanck is a dinosaure at about 600 yards if I remember right.

That does look like some nice country to shoot in. Plus having all them people to shoot with might be nice too.

People where I live now don't realize how darn hot it can get out there in earthly heaven! I lived in South Dakota for 5 years, best place I ever lived, but it can get brutally hot in the plains, I remember one whole week of over 100 degree temperatures.

Of course, can get a little chilly too, but it keeps the riff-raff away.

Right now I bet Dakota7 can show you some pictures just like that last one. I hear winter is being it's normal North Dakota self this year.

Dakota7, I used to live in Beach/Sentinel Butte a number of years back. Not far from Amidon. Never had a reason to go to Amidon.

I actually did live in the badlands, 20 miles north of Sentinel Butte, ND. That's some ways out in the tulles.
