OT- another M1 Carbine

Post by pwl44m »

I aquired another M1 Carbine around the 1st of July. Been so busy haven't had time to take pics and post.
It is a run of the mill gun , Inland, Clean little Gun- shiny bore , some wear and tear but not bad. Stock looks to have been refinished but the Cartouche still looks sharp so idk.
I don't recognize the Importer on the underside of the Barrel, does anyone know and what time Period They were in Business ?.
This Gun is 1 of a 2 gun purchase. The other is a P-38 which is yet to materialize.
I have really been busy trying to get My Gun Room/Man Cave finished. Almost there, have 1 more cabinet to install & put a top on the Workbench. Then organize everything. I have both Gun Safes here now and will post Pics of the assembly for those interested.
Now just a couple Pics of the Carbine.

The importer stamp appears to be Century Arms. Good looking carbine, congrats, Morgan.

Nice! Congrats.

Southern Ohio Gun has Underwoods on sale right now for $625. Listed as having excellent bores and in vg condition.

I was tempted but we are needing to save the $$ right now and for the next few years - trying to make my final nesting place w/o a mortgage...

And that means playing with what I got.

Probably a Korean re-import. Most of them were pretty dinged up but
they did take good care of the bores.

I've had a bunch. All were good little shooters.

:D

Duh ! I should have recognized C.I.A. as Century International Arms but most of the ones I have seen r either Blue Sky or some other.
I know what U mean Osok. We took care of the Tomb a long time ago.I think the only thing left is the sales tax which caint be computed till death do us part. But I needed it don't Ya know (the Carbine that is)

Nice! I've grown quite fond of mine. It's too bad they've grown so pricey because they're a hoot'n a half.

Best,
Oly

Ur right about the price Oly,I just about choked one day when I walked into Big 5 in Y.C. and saw a $999 price tag. They have come down somewhat but still pricey.
And they sure r a Hoot to Shoot, That has a nice ring to it.
