Outdoor clothing

Post by mark »

Evening all,

I wish to purchase shirts, trousers, socks etc.

I have used Cabelas in the past but I find that their airmail charges are too expensive. Particularly the minimum charge of $US40.

The destination is Sydney, Australia.

Any leads would be much appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.

Cheers Mark

I do not know their international shipping (they suggest calling customer service) - but you might try
http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/help ... ation.aspx

Also, again don't know shipping specifics but there's also
www.campmor.com
www.sierratradingpost.com
www.carhart.com
as possibilities. Good luck!

Check out the American company "Orvis" I think they have stores in Australia, the ones in the UK have a good range of outdoor clothing.

FWIW, I have found the clothing and some of the gear at local outlets of hiking and/or mountain climbing chain stores to be of excellent quality and very adaptable for firearms & hunting uses.

In the CONUS, these are stores like The North Face, Eastern Mountain Sports, and others.

I especially like/use their wool blend hiking socks.

They don't carry hunting clothing per say, but I get a lot of my stuff from REI when it doesn't need to be camo. They have top notch rain gear, underlayers, camping gear, etc.

You should also check out Brigade Quartermasters. Again, top notch stuff when it comes to outdoor gear and clothing. I've ordered BDU style pants for hunting, shooting shirts, travel gear, socks, etc. They cater to law enforcement and the military, so you should find some ideas there.

LL Bean has free US shipping so maybe their shipping abroad is less. Worth checking out. Bean is one of the best US outfitters.

ALWAYS start at sierratradingpost before you go anywhere else.

I've also had very good luck with www.backcountry.com

It's all about customer service, and these two are first rate.
