Need GS Extended Mag HELP
My gunsmith is having trouble finding me and my buddy a stainless/nickel tube to boost my firepower in my beast.
I "think" he knows and has tried the usual channels.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance...

The most economical fix is to buy a second tube from marlin and weld the two together cutting and fitting so the weld is under the forarm.

Who is your gunsmith? I would think Jim West at Wild West Guns there in Anchorage could help you.
I am a salty, old, retired Chief Petty Officer who is not impressed by much.

Jay,kentdep wrote:I ordered a magazine tube from Marlin made it the correct length and then had a plater plate mine in electroless nickel like the factory ones on the GS. I would think that it would be cheaper than welding up too nickeled ones. But I have been wrong before.![]()

I thought those guns were stainless but checking the website it appears the tubes and other part may be plated. hard to say which parts are plate for sure.
From the Marlin sight;
If it has some plated parts then just order the 1895CB tube and fit then plate it. One more won't hurt.The receiver, barrel and all major metal parts are machined from stainless steel, and most other metal parts are nickel-plated.

I suspect that the loading gate and the plug in the end of the magazine tube are plated but I am not going to take a file to them to find out.
Hey I met a Sheriff's Deputy in Van Buren County who knows you Steve. He told me you did his '92s and some of his wheel guns. Said that you do great work. Said you did the work a while back.
