Worth anything?

Post by Bridger »

I don`t want it or anything but was curious to what it`s value is after all it`s been through? I think $40 or $50 at the top end.

Oh, I don't know, it's got a barrel, mag, bolt, hammer and a couple of screws. Ain't much worse than one I picked up for about that $40 range:

Hmmm... how hard do you figure to re-temper that steel? I'm sure the fire it went through took the starch right out of that receiver and barrel...

Guns and fires

Post by win92 »

Local sports store up here had a fire almost 2 years back.
the real problem to the guns came when the fire depatment pumped all the water in . Steamed eveything, corrosion was terrible even though the fire never got near the guns. Smoke and finish damage as well as a goodly amount of rusting. Then the firemarshall wouldn't let the owners back in to salvage until a reason was determined as to the fire starting.
So the guns had to wait and rust a little more.
Insurance company ended up selling them off through other dealers at pretty decent prices
