Picked up this used T/C 54cal Hawken from Track of the Wolf a couple of weeks ago. It's in near-perfect condition. I'll be picking up some BP and caps tomorrow and hope to try it out this weekend, weather permitting.

You know, if a man was pressed, he wouldn't need much more than that rifle. Good find!!

I love the sidelock ML's - I get the most fun hunting with one - any good one. That is a nice one.

Hard to beat the T/Cs in the accuracy department. I've got a near identicle sling on my LTD III
Marlin 45-70.
Need another. Can't remember wher I got it. Any Ideas?

Congrats! I like the SL's too. I just like traditional muzzle loaders - the modern stuff never floated my boat!

Pitchy, thanks for the offer of the extra loading block, but I already have a couple myself.
