OT-Canvas Cabin-Interior PIC

Post by Jarhead »

As you fellas can see, I've got it pretty rough out here. :)

Wall to Wall carpet too :)

As we always say in huntin' camp; I wonder what the rich people are doing as we bite into some Elk back strap.

Do They still call those King Heaters ? I grew up with several of those. My Dad would take the lid off and stick his foot in the stove to warm it up, with Boot on of course.

I'm not sure what they call them. We call them a "Bush Stove" They are light and easy to pack in a bush plane. EPA shut them down! I bought two 25 years ago in Alaska. Can't get them anymore, but they sure are good. As you know, you got to be careful with em'....Keep them shut down, or else. They will get red hot if you don't. A lot of folks have burned their tents to the ground. Just got to use common sense.

Nope....that was in my living room before I set up the Tent. I wanted to make it as comfortable as possible for my Wife and my Hound. After all, Winter is a long spell, especially this year. It's still not over yet :?

Looks darned nice to me. My dad and I had one of those kind of stoves at our tiny log cabin, and that rascal would glow red in the night sometimes. Great memories there.

Nice tent.

When I was staying in my wall tent for a while, I took along my twin size metal bed frame and mattress, bedside table/chest, chair, a folding table and bench I made, a rug, and other odds and ends. Used a Kerosun heater some of the time. Had a couple people in to visit, they did a double take when they came in.

Mike,

That's afirmative. Couch/hide a bed to the left...just couldn't fit same in the pic.

That tent is as nice as most peoples homes in my area. I bet the hound enjoys laying near the heater. By the way what kind of hound is it. I have two daushounds I am holding as I type. Had a basset for 14 years, lost her last year. A good dog is hard to beat.

I have a Lion Hound-Rhodesian Ridgeback. I had two, but lost one to cancer this past November. She had a good life and was 11 years old, but it still broke my heart. "Mans Best Friend" That's a fact....
