The shop wanted $2200 to do the job on my old daily driver, a 1989 Jeep Wrangler. I did it for $200 and lots of aggravation.

I gave her a test run about an hour ago and NO LEAKS and best of all, I had no extra bolts.

So, with the $2,000 in savings I think I'll go Winchester & Colt hunting.

Here's the transfer case with the new chain installed--semi-easy job. It was a little tricky sliding the other half of the housing on for guys like me. Its a no brainer for a mechanic.

Here's an older pic of "Old Yeller". Bought her brand new in 1989.

This is where "Old Yeller" was. Anybody wanna help clean up the mess? (yea, typical rainy day here in Pa.)
