Thanks all!

The Ruger Bisley was a distributor exclusive through Accusport. My local shop has had several, but I haven't seen one lately. I really prefer the Bisley grip frame and hammer, and the 5.5" barrel has awesome balance for me.
The grips shown on it are from Hogue.

I think I will try and refinish the Rossi, and just have the fallback excuse of getting walnut blanks if it doesn't work out... To those that have done it, are you stripping the factory wood and then oiling? Pretty new at this endeavor so any hints will be appreciated!

(hint) You could have continued your other thread with this, for better continuity. :)

I have had excellent results, refinishing gunstocks, by using Formby's Furniture Refinisher ( Benny's Home & Auto, Wally World, etc) to remove the old finish. (follow the can directions)

Buy a package af OOOO steel wool, as it will work best for both stripping w/o sanding, and cutting down the coats of oil (whatever) between coats on the way to the final level of finish.
