Gonna be gone for awhile

After 2 years of whining I finally got my reserve unit to send me somewhere. I am going to Fort Bliss, Tx. to be one of the instructors at the mobilization site down there. This is kind of bittersweet because I am having some trouble with my teenage daughter and this is not a real good time to be away from her, but as many of us know, Uncle Sam does not always have real good timing. I will be gone for about 6 months and then who knows what will happen.

Good luck on your assignment. Hopefully the home front will settle down. Hard to take care of things while you're out of the area.

Good luck, I think you might like it down here! Check out the Ft Bliss Rod & Gun Club on the east side or the El Paso Gun Club on the west side of town ($36/year).Some great hiking, fishing, camping places up in the New Mexico mountains.Lots of biking here too; mountain & road.

I rode thru a couple summers ago. Beautiful mountains. Unbelievable morning traffic through downtown.

Went thru that with a daughter while not at home. it's tough, but if you started her out right, you'll both suvive her TEENAGE YEARS :cry: . good luck.
