Wow!

Split-level with display cases.

I'll bet this is really RR7's house.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I've been in plenty of gun stores that weren't as well stocked!

That's one long rifle he's leaning on too! 8)

Grantsburg, IL is way down south on 146 right at the edge of the Shawnee NAT Forrest. There's three cross streets and not a whole lot of buildings. It's got a Post Office though.

Most likely that building is nothing but a crumbled shell on a decayed foundation now. Would be fun to go see.

Someone emailed this to me yesterday.

You may have heard on the news about a southern California man that was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found that he owned 100 guns and allegedly had (by rough estimate) 1 million rounds of ammunition stored in his home....

The house also featured a secret escape tunnel. My favorite quote from the dimwit television reporter: "Wow! He has about a million machine gun bullets." The headline referred to it as a "massive weapons cache."
BTW, I am dubious about the pile of ammunition boxes and cans that they showed. It looked big enough to contain no more than about100,000 rounds, unless there was a lot of .22 rimfire ammo. However, by southern California standards, even someone owning 100,000 rounds would be called "mentally unstable."

Just imagine if he lived elsewhere:

In Arizona , he'd be called "an avid gun collector"

In Texas , he'd be called "a novice gun collector"

In Utah , he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food.

In Montana , he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy."

In Idaho , he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate."

And, in Wyoming he'd simply be called "an eligible bachelor.
