I've missed this gig three years in a row! That burns me up. The last two times the weather was super windy or rainy and I ain't traveling 250 miles just to get my guns wet or knocked over, all the time trying to figure out where my bullets are going. (yea, good excuse  )

But this year the Rockies are calling and the old 1899 Savage 38-55 is ready to roll. :D

Thanks Jack--Try again next year---------Sixgun

John, do you have to wear a costume on Sunday? ;-)

Sixgun, are you hunting second rifle? My two sons and I are making our first attempt at elk this year. Good luck.

Hmmm... so far I can't find anything that'll pay to get me there. Little too far out for accurate scheduling. So, a Win94 in .30-30 and my 1860 in .45 Colt will do?

Have keep a watch out for the next week for just the right combination of loads!

Griff,
Fill those saddle tanks up on the KW and head on up. You say a 30-30 and an 1860? Better add to that. Most guys bring a half dozen or more leverguns and 5-600 rounds of ammo. If I was going I'd bring twice that.

Then at nighttime we head to the t-bars--I know your coming now :D (not really-just a joke)

Coming near Denver towards the end of next week?---------Sixgun

I'm not really much of a tea drinker, tho I enjoy a cup full from time to time. Fine china cups enhance the enjoyment!

Sorry, but Denver is on the "to be avoided" list. Freight rarely pays enough on the way in to make up for what it pays on the way out. Tho' if I get a good paying load thru I'll let ya know!

Jack,

Ridgway is one of my favorite places to shoot. If I were back in Pa., I would surely be there. Have a great time!

I just checked with the local train station and they assure me that Ridgeway isn't on our local train line so I can't get there, but it's alright, y'all just go right on ahead and have fun without me

Thanks, Jack. Perhaps I'll get back to Ridgway for one of your shoots -- or for the Pa. State levergun silly-wet championship.
