New Midway Catalog 39

Post by Mike-in-WV »

Just got my new Midway catalog and there ammo and bullet prices are still great! Good price on all the Winchester and Marlin stocks too. Mike
If I can't shoot or pee off my own back porch when I want to then I'm not free and I won't live there. Thank you God for my freedom!

Yes, I am refering to USA Midway. Don't know about the .com because I always get there catalogs. Prices on ammo are as good as Walmart. Prices on stocks are cheaper than many I have seen on line also. Mike

I got my copy the other day too. Right in the middle of a pouring down rain storm. It's still drying out.
So far the prices for loaded ammo doesn't seem to be too far out of line, but they are higher than I'd like.
I compared regular grade 30-30, and 30-06 to what I've seen in the past and it's not too bad. The fancy stuff is out of orbit though.

As for bullets I have seen a major increase in those I've ordered before. So I'm not happy there.

I actually though that their prices had gone WAY up. Be careful because they don't always honor catalogue prices...only online ones. Some of the prices of a box of ammo has risen $17 a box from $35 to $52 since my 2007 catalogue (online).

That's sort of irreverent, but God's used to me by now, and evidently either finds me tolerable, or is saving up the bad stuff for me, so I think that may be my new family dinner prayer...

Got mine also, the 61.00 price for a Williams Fool Proof with the front fire sight seemed real good. I ordered one for my 94. For some reason I couldn't access the online checkout so I called instead. The operator asked me from what source did I get my item #? I told her the new catalog. I got the catalog prices then as I was told they sometimes differ.

Midway is like anywhere else. Some prices are good some aren't. But if your patient Midway will usually have something on sale at agood price that you need. The other thing is that they seem to keep a lot of inventory so you can do one stop shopping instead of paying shipping from 2 or 3 other places to get all the same stuff.

And the catalog is a great reference to have around. I'm old school I like flipping through a catalog.

Midways prices are about average. Being that I do not purchase a lot of shooting related equipment and supplies anymore, I shop around around for the best prices. I have always managed to find a better deal elsewhere. I refuse to pay midway a minimum fee on small items.
About the only things I need these days are bullets, but the prices for these are just a plain and simple rip off at this time.
Midway will not be getting a penny from me this year, and if prices keep increasing, I will quit the shooting the sports like so many of my associates have already done.
The industry is cutting its own throat through sheer greed.
