Pictures of my latest holster
I posted a picture of this rig when it was just a flat piece of leather with some carving done to it. Well here it is finally done.
My rendition of Will Ghromley`s HOG rig.(Hand of God rig is from 3:10 to Yuma with Russel Crow)
I have to say friend Wills pattern set is dead on for fit and all the hole locations were exactly in the right place. It does take a little faith in the man to punch some 60+ holes in your project per the plan and hope it all fits together. Thanks Will !
This is my first belt and first carved floral holsters. I am very happy with the way they came out.
The next set will be Walnut died and made for my old Vaquqro .44`s.

Very impressive, I tired that at the base leather shop a long time ago and discovered I had no talent at leather work regardless of how much time I spent fixing bridals and saddles when I was growing up.

The bridal shop of course. Wondered the same thing and that's what I came up with.Buck Elliott wrote:Where does one get a job fixing bridals...?Paladin wrote:Very impressive, I tired that at the base leather shop a long time ago and discovered I had no talent at leather work regardless of how much time I spent fixing bridals and saddles when I was growing up.

Chuck 100 yd
that is beyond excellent.... and the guy who builds those other rigs and designs those patterns is a national treasure. I liked his moccasin design a lot, and it looks like a good beginner project. Is it?
is there a holster pattern using that structure and style for a 1911. this would be the year for it, wouldn't it?

Re: Pictures of my latest holster
Grizz , yes my friend ,Will is a treasure. Here is how I learned
how to do it.
http://www.willghormley-maker.com/MakingHOGRig.html
I have a couple of other holster patterns of his but have not tried to make the moccasins. Will has an on line how to for them also.
There will be some soon for the 1911 I am sure as the Wild Bunch class in CAS is getting very popular.
Look here at what this feller made.

Will can be found on Cas City forum also.
Thanks for the compliments!!
