The strange thing is every one of those combination's has been discussed at one time or another here on Leverguns.

I still do not like the idea of mounting the peep sight so far away from the eye. Mounted at the rear of the receiver is just right. But mounting in the forward scope mount holes is too far forward for proper use.

Oh well, to each their own.

I don't mind the Williams FP being on the front two scope-holes on the 1894.

For the Williams WGRS, another option is to reverse the position, and mount the sight 'facing' backwards using the rear two holes. Even with the aperture screwed in from the front, it will work, although I prefer the 'ghost ring' effect, and use it without the aperture.

Posting a 100-yard group like this from a stock .44 Magnum 1894 makes me a bit skeptical, however...

There are alot of very experienced shooters here on this forum - how many get cloverleaf groups from their stock 1894's...?

yeah that's one I'd have to have seen happen and then see it repeated...

I could post all manner of 5 shot one hole groups shot at 100yds.. but they happened with various rifles ONE time.

Usually happens when I'm working up a new load..... think I've found the perfect combo only to go load some more and find it was shear dumb luck. I've done it with factory ammo too.... then the next group is 2"!
