On Topic - C. Sharps Arms 1875 Rifle Give away WINNER IS>>>>

Post by rjohns94 »

In the spirit of Christmas and because I know there are those out there that want a sharps but can't scrounge the change, I would like to offer a C. Sharps Arms, 1875, near new, 26 inch barrel in 45-70, half round, half octagon, globe front, vernier tang, no barrel rear sight, with silver cap on forestock, with xxx fancy wood in a sort of giveaway. These run a bit over $2000 and there is a significant wait for them. I thought I would hold a raffle, no price for the tickets. I will draw a name out of the hat on Christmas eve at noon from all the persons here who wish to own the rifle. I would ask if you have one, not to apply. If you don't and want one I will let this one go to the winner for $200 + shipping to your dealer. thats right, $2000 rifle for $200 to the winner that is drawn. I'm thinking most could come up with that. You can send the money later down the road. I will ship it to your ffl on Monday after Christmas.

So drop a note here and I will give you all a slip for the drawing. I will post the winner here after confirming they want it. Remember, your only costs will be $200 and shipping. It will ship in a plastic shipping case.

JNYORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats!!!!!!!!!

Wow, Mike, unbelievable. Quite a deal for those out there that don't have a Sharps. I'd love to put in for it, but alas I already have one. I couldn't do that. I love my fellow brothers and sisters here and would love to be in a position to do that, but I'm not.

I would like to add my name to the list for the drawing as well. I'm a novice shooter having only two Quigley events under my belt thus far, but I'm ready to stop borrowing my rifle. I'm genuinely looking forward to settling in to a fine rifle ahead of the competition next year, as opposed to getting adjusted to one of my dad's on the day before the match.

Whomever the lucky name drawn is, God bless you for your generosity. You'll be giving someone a lot of joy for an unheard-of low price, and they're sure to never forget it.

Please add my name also. I almost feel guilty, but this is one of my dream guns and this is too good to pass up. You, sir, are a fine and generous gentleman.

Mike,
What amazing generosity...what a neat idea. I would feel guilty about entering my name, so I won't, although I will have a Sharps in my safe some day.

To all those with your name in the hat - good luck! And I hope it goes to someone who will truly cherish it.

Very generous, but why not sell the rifle and donate to a worthwhile charity? Anyone on Leverguns has a computer and internet access, they don't need a nearly free rifle. Merry Christmas.

That is incredibly generous of you. Just the thought of you giving away a rifle that is out of reach for most of us... especially to someone that you may not even know. You, sir, have certainly brightened up my day. Thanks for that!

I would appreciate being included in your drawing as well.

Just in case someone doesn't have the dies and brass, If it's OK with Mike I'll send what I have laying around to whomever is drawn. If I remember right they are Lee dies and I should have at least 60 cases laying around too.
I'm pretty sure I have a few bullets to send also.

Mike is one of the best guys around!
