I'm thinkin' diced pheasant quick fry, add dijon mustard and white wine, peas and leek and of course onion and garlic served on baked potato chips in olive oil for christmas eve supper with the family
My wife took one look and said she'd love to have some of it's feathers. Do you think it would be possible to get some? Gladly pay shipping + a bit if you'd like.

This picture is a little out of focus due to the fact the camera focused (on auto) on the holly between Tia and the bird. She was sitting so nice n' natural I wanted her in the shot.
J miller, if Nath cant help you out let me know and I can get you some feathers, my brother and I both have german shorthairs, and seem to beable to get birds fairly regularly
You know, this just ain't right. An Englishman getting out and shooting game while an American waits for another season to start. So much for the myth that the English don't hunt. Nath, that's some nice shooting, and the photo, what with the bird, dog and gun is classic.

Hmmm, we have big brother breathing down our necks, for instance we can not use a ML rifle even though there is no actual law against it(for hunting). We only have a range of cals we can "request" for on our licence and so on. Some would frown on me for taking this bird with a rifle over here etc. It was squat under a holly on the boundary with a large driven pheasant shoot, sometimes we will find a "pricked" bird so I take them what with not knowing how bad they may be shot etc. Actually closer inspection showed chopped tail feathers from shot!

Good ole' 22lr. CCI minimag. Less than ten yards and had to sqeeze one through sticks to get his noggin. His body was a clear run, perfect for any bow
