Thanks Winchester and thanks Mr Rabbit.

I said in one of our Joe's posts how my little 9422 trapper was so dependable and reliable.

Well it is :D

Image

Seven shots for four rabbits. Shot at night with flash light in one hand, three taken with a rest around 50yds and one off hand at 25ish yds, not bad for an old man gettin'.

I have not shot this 22 for over eight weeks!

Tia retrieved three :D

These should get me enough gas to take me to the woods for the Christmass hols, yeeehaar :D

Nath,

Looks like you and your 9422 are more than a match for brier rabbit(s).
You eat those bunnies or use 'em for bait?

You can hunt at night legally?

Way to go Nath.
Spotlighting bunnies is definitely productive.
First rabbit I ever shot was with a spotlight and a scattergun. So much easier these days with LED torches, we did it by lugging around a spotlight and a small car battery.

Now thats cool I would love to take my Marlin 70 on a night mission but don't think hunting after dark is legal here in Missouri but I'll have to check the laws and see. Good hunt :D

Yup, that was my thought :o I do that around here and I'm going to be cuffed and thrown in the pokey

Nath, I LOVE your photos. I do NOT get tired of them. Wisht we had bunnies around here, the season is open to the end of March I believe.

Good job, Nath. They've changed the laws around here so I don't know if one can or can't hunt varmints at night. I believe you can with coyotes. Not sure about any other critter.

Thanks fellers :D

yep, it's legal over here to shoot at night with a light except for deer unless a special licence is gained.

Joe, these rabbits will be dressed and sold in a local farm shop.
