My 3 Leverguns

Post by Jahrs »

After seeing pics of many of your beautiful levers I finally had some time (home recuperating from hernia surgery) to take a pic of my levers. Over the past couple of years I bought and sold a few and this is what I ended up with. A 1960 Marlin 336 SC Deluxe in .35 Rem, A 1972 or 1973 Winchester 9422M 22 mag, and a 1980 Marlin 1894 357. A couple of these just might look familiar to some of you. Thanks to all of you for making this a great place and a special thanks to Hobie for keeping it clean. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

I would like to add to them a straight stocked 336 .35 rem, a 45/70 of some sort, and a 1894M in 22mag. Thanks for the kind words.

Very nice, although I don't know what sort of carrying handle is on that .357 marlin. ;)

Deluxe 336's are VERY hard to find in any condition at all - never mind as pristine as yours, AND a .35 to boot ! WOW !

Looks like a nice woodsy view off your balcony, too... 8)

Yes nothing but woods off of the balcony, mostly red and white oaks with a pine or two thrown in. It is windy and rainy here today and most of the leaves have now fallen.

Pete, I struggled with that handle but the contacts just do not work for me so if I want to hunt with a lever this is what I must do. I am seriously considering mounting one on the 336. It's either that or it will become a safe queen again.
