Sent two barrels to Jess

Post by Abilene »

I can hardly wait. I sent an old 26" round barrel 32-40 w/ a bore like a sewer pipe and a decent 20" carbine barrel. Will have both rebored to 38-55. Guess I better polish the post 64 reciever and have it nickled and refinish the stocks while it is gone. Will try to post pics after it's put together. The carbine was a beater, but that is just what I wanted. Still like a few parts for the pre 64 reciever, next years project.

Jess Ocumpaugh (goodness, that's probably not spelled right, but I am 310 miles from home and don't have the name with me).

This guy rebores rifle barrels. I had a 94 trapper rebored to .38-55 and could not be more pleased with the results.

I don't think he has a website, but he advertised on one of the gun auction sites.

That would be him. I believe that is how it is spelled. I need to build a buttcuff for it, but I uncovered some nice walnut when the finish was stripped from the stock. Don't know whether I want to cover it up or not. Abilene
