Legacy Arms

Post by slamfire »

Legacy is back in the levergun business, offering the Armi Chiappa M92 cheaper than Cimarron. They also have an M1886 by Armi Chiappa in 45-70.

Wow they limit mag capacity to 5 rounds  , from pics looks like they dont have safety on bolt
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Apparently some socialist states restrict lever guns to 5. It's a stupid moronic idea, .... however .... the plugs are easy to remove.

Those look really nice. I wonder how good they are?

Makes me want to buy a Calico 9mm, with it's 100-round magazine...

Link to a 1892 Puma owner's manual. No mention of safety or diagram of one, other than the half cock position. We'll see.

The MSRP on their 1886s are about 400 more than you can buy a nice Browning 1886

I've got a Chiappa '92 in .45 Colt and it's lovely. Much better fit & finish than a Rossi and perhaps even nicer than an Uberti. I'm not sure if folks have had any problems with them but mine is just fine.

Oly
