Seven years ago today(9/27/03)...

Post by Goat »

Seven years ago today I watched as my Momma left this land of the dying for her eternal reward. Seven days earlier there was an explosion and fire in my parents camper trailer that took Momma's life and scarred my Father for the rest of his. I am thankful for the precious memories of a life well lived and a home like few others. Yet I am more thankful for the legacy that my Momma left behind. I do not think so, hope so or wish it to be so but know that I will, by the Grace of God, see my Mother again. Thanks Momma for showing what a real christian looks like and for living that life consistantly whether in public or in private. I will always miss you.

AMEN. You will indeed be reunited. Christian parents are counted among my greatest blessings. Blessings to you and the memories fill your life with joy and Grace.

Goat,
Your a good man and a good Christian for putting your mom at the top of your list. I think of my parents everyday. May peace be with you and your dad.-----------------Sixgun

Some of our parents really "set an example" for us to live by, and live up to. We are lucky for that. One hopes that before their passing they realized their job was well done (and by extention, that we had lived up to those expectations).

Wonderful tribute to a very special lady. I can tell you were blessed in the parent department as was I.
