Please post political post in the new Politics forum.
I was sent a link to this forum by a good friend , looked it over, and thought I would join up.
I've been involved with lever guns for a few years now, and have managed to accumulate several nice antiques and newer lever guns , all of which are shooters, no wall hangers are in my safe . Just last week, while returning home to Arizona from a 2 week Montana vacation, we stopped at a shop in Cody , Wyoming, and managed to add a model '73 Winchester { made in 1894 } rifle in .32-20 with a 26" octagon { not the standard 24" } barrel to my modest long gun collection.
Looking forward to obtaining some useful info from the more experienced members on this sight, Thanks....... Roofuss
I must warn ya, we're a visual bunch... so with that said,

Griff : I pretty much figured someone would ask me to post pic's, but ya see I'm a 61 year old fanny burp who has all he can do just to be able to log on to a computer, much less post pictures so about the best I can do right now is " list " the long / lever guns that currently reside in my safe Roof

Simple... in amongst the pinned or sticky posts, there's a link to several tutorials, including one on posting pics! Age isn't a reason, it's an excuse... and we don't give excuses easily!
Believe me, I only thought I was 'puter literate 'till I came here. Expertise here is something else; we might teae ya, but rest assured, you'll get innundated with HELP!

Nope, no kids or grand kids , may be the main reason why I still have my sanity at this age , ARARRRRRR !!!
Here's the direct link for your ease... ol' timer! (I'll be 61 on my next B-Day, that dog don't hunt!)
It's my excuse, and I'm stickin' to it . Just an old dumb butt, I guess ?
Been dickin' around with this way too long , with nuttin' to show for it !!
I'm open to any and all ideas or ya could just take my word for it ??
There are a number of fellows here who are, shall we say, quite enamored of the .32-20 cartridge and its guns, so for safekeeping, you may want to consider sending that firearm to me for a few months, until you get to know which ones of the guys on here are really ones you can trust. When it seems safe to return it, I'll pack it back up and send it to you.
Since you're new here, I'll even pay postage both ways, just so you know I'm on the up-and-up.

So already I'm jealous - a safe full of levers, lives in the Arizona mountains, and the guy is younger than me... But Welcome, Roofuss!
As stated, you have found the best forum on the 'net and the best behaved group of posters, as well.
Welcome aboard, I'm pretty new here myself. If it makes you feel any better, I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to post pictures myself, and my only excuses are an old computer with outdated Adobe software, and my own technical stupidity!
Martin450: Now this part I can really relate to !!
Lack of experience with a technical problem with lever guns is a long way from stupidity - and the smartest thing to do is ask if someone around has had the problem and how they fixed it. Lots better than attempting and screwing things up more - Besides fixing the problem, you got introduced to a really great group on this forum - we're glad to have you aboard.
