OT Thoughts for a friend

Post by firefuzz »

I don't know that it's right to ask for prayers for an animal, but I'd at least ask you to keep my Roxy in your thoughts. Had to take her to the vet for the first of two heart worm treatments yesterday, she gets to come home tomorrow. So far she's doing fine, but the treatments are hard on them so I've been told. She'll be with me in the house for the next two weeks, getting plenty pampered, and then another treatment in a month.

Roxy's my hyper-active teenager dog that never walks anywhere. She dashes to and fro but will suddenly jump up on your legs, lick your face and look into your eyes saying "you do know I love you, don't you?"

Can't stand the thought of losing her, one this year's been enough.

Thanks,

Rob

Hang in there. A young dog will probably pull thru much easier than an old one. Be glad you caught it early.

I think the only prayers that are 'bad' are ones offered for one's own success or material gain.

Prayers for others, or prayers that 'things turn out for the best for all concerned', are hard to think of as anything but genuine. That would include prayers for four-leggeds...

That's a tough one. Went through that a few years ago with mine that just passed. He was about 10 yrs. old and pulled through just fine. I'm sure yours will be too. We sure can get attached to our dogs. Most dogs I know are better than most people I've met, present company excluded. You and your pal are in my prayers.
