Nice!

While I suppose there are some people who say they don't like "pretty" I never noticed them dancing with just the ugly girls.

I carried a 5 1/2 Colt SAA factory nickeled in Arizona for years. Other than blackening the front sight, I never had any issue with nickel finish .. either shining too much or whatever. Course I hardly ever shot it further than 300 or 400 yards so I can't say for sure if it would bother everyone ....

Yep .. the plain-jane will get the job done... but life is too short for me to use an ugly gun.

Nothing wrong with a little fancy for dress up. I packed a nickle 45 with ivory grips for quite a while.

If it was good enough for Roy Rogers, it's good enough for me. :D

I don't shoot the 45s pair I posted pics of above but I do have a nickeled 44 Special with 2000+ rounds of 240gr swc through it. BP frame and I also blackened the front sight on that gun.

In the old BP days nickel guns were a lot easier to clean up and keep in good condition. Not an issue today but I do find it easier to clean up than case/blue. One of my 45s I shoot a lot has just about lost all its case over just a few years and a serious amount of rounds going down range.

No sure I like the "look" of nickel as I was raised with blue and cased guns, but nickel makes a lot of sense to me on working guns. Sight picture can be a small draw back outdoors in the light. But a nickeled sight picture for quick shooting indoors or in less than bright sun light can be mighty fine :)

I doubt things have changed much in the last 150 years but most uses for a handgun these days aren't at high noon or 50 paces.
