OT Prayer request

Post by firefuzz »

Would like you folks to remember my neighbor Will in your thoughts and prayers today. Just helped him bury his four-legged friend of 14 years, Buddy. He's taking it like everyone of us has that's lost his special mate. I've noticed that it doesn't make much difference if you're a 5 y/o child, a firefighter, or a biker/construction worker the reaction to this loss is the same.

May your rifle always shoot straight, your mag never run dry, you always have one more round than you have adversaries, and your good mate always be there to watch your back.

Because I can!

I've seen the biggest, baddest, roughest, toughest, bandy-legged hombres ever breakdown & bawl like a baby (me included) when they lost their best friend...

Done. Dave and Will, you both are in my thoughts. I've buried several retriever companions over 30 years and know what a loss it is. My advise is to get a new dog quickly and start a wonderful new "best friend" relationship. You probably are ready even if you feel you aren't. I've always found the wagging tail and kisses from a new puppy heal me!

Ditto. I've always found that a new pup can make it hurt a lot less. I'm probably looking at putting my 13 yr. old lab down this week, on top of possibly losing my job. No fun at all. Your friend is now on my prayer list.
