1894 Winchester AE, Williams 5D?
Is it possible to use a one piece scope base and a Williams 5D on the last run of American made Winchesters? The reason I ask is because in my area they seem to cost less than the top eject models.

Since I've never tried to mount both I'm going to answer with a qualified no.
Both the rear mount, or rear of the one piece mount, and the Williams receiver sights use the same two holes. So it seams to me they'd be pretty much mutually exclusive.

No. You want the XS Weaver Backup. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=48/P ... ACKUP_BASE
Kind regards,

Yes, depending.............. (two or three choices)
1) The long XS Leverscout rail can be used with a clamp-on peep at the rear & a scope forward of the peep aperture.
2) A side scope mount for a TE M94, like the Williams, can be installed - which leaves the rear scope mount holes clear for a Williams FP-94AE or 5D-94AE.
3) A short XS LeverScout mount can be installed, which spans from the rear bbl dovetail to the receiver front scope mount holes - again leaving the rear hole free for a peep.
Here's what the 5D-94AE looks like, installed:

10-4 and a big thanks. So a long eye relief shotgun scope and a peep are possible!
