Not winding down fast enough for me. The last few days have been over 105º. I wish were back in Kailua, but that'll have to wait until November. Looks like you have been hittin' the sand, though.

I'm seriously enjoying the cooler weather. We haven't run the refer in 3 days.
Looks like you were/are enjoying your vacation too.

Time for canning the summer's produce, topping off the woodshed with firewood, and reloading .44 Mags for deer season...

yes and we got relief from the heat, only 2-3 hot days all season in the SFV. Unbelievable.

It flew by for me. HOT and busy......
But I got a building to build, wood to put up, another part of a building to remodel, all before snow.....
AND I might have stumbled into a consulting job that could run several mos.

Y2K and my daughter started school on the 18th (of August). Still hot as blazes here, though we did get some relief today with a nice breeze and the humidity not being quite as high, though I think it topped 90 again. Looking forward to frosty mornings and sweatshirt weather - which around here may not come until December!

Well gents, your summer is leaving you and ours is approaching. We have in the last two weeks had a taste of spring, days in the mid eighties but the nights in the low thirties, firewood still required at night. September is around the corner, we can go to 95 to 100 by the end of September. The Mango trees are putting out their flowers so a good crop we can look forward to in January. Unless frost appears in Sept as has happened before to burn the flowers off the trees. The swimming pool needs cleaning and making ready once again for the Grandkids. We have done plenty of back burning through winter so the fire hazard on the property is considerably reduced. The Greens hate that, but there again I have no great love of the radicle greens. Did not see too many of them fighting the Victorian bush fires in 2007. In fact none. Bring on the seasons.

LJ,
Hope your summer was very relaxing and fun!
Up here, the fall landscape is really stunning though its a bummer the days grow shorter. That is a very nice pic of you and the way you look in that suit, bet if you taught summer school on the beach like that all the boys would be flunking during the regular school year on purpose!
Love the hat with that nice pink suit(you wear them very well)
Have a great school year!

Lovely picture, I am tempted to post one of your pics that drove some of the boys a little sideways.
I'll think about that for a while.

Woods?
What woods...?
Were there
trees and things in that picture...?
I'll have to take another look. . .
. . . well I guess you're right, if you look close, you can see trees, even a pond, too.
I must have missed them the first time. . .
