One look at that guys obesity, and I'd have a hard time accepting he's a current military guy, or even a 'respectable' former military guy.

I'm overweight, and couldn't do what I did back then. When I was in uniform, I was in the shape demanded of the job. That guy wouldn't live through an hour of morning PT and then a 4 mile run at 7 minutes per mile, all while calling cadence. Sergeant Dodson usually had us doing 200 of the 4 count Jumping Jacks just to start off. That man had calf muscles which any pro lineman would be proud to have. The Faker in the link was way too out of shape to be in any branch of combat arms. Even the guys working in the motor pool would have had someone like that on remedial PT. The mechanics didn't take military life too seriously in most cases, but they kept our vehicles running and everything started on the first try.

This article in today's Fairbanks Daily News Miner has to do with the SF impersonator in this original post. He seems to get around and cause trouble for people.

Note: the SF tab is always on the left shoulder, so is the ranger tab.

This is why the court ruling that the Stolen Valor act was unconstitutional is so flawed. What this man is doing is perpetrating a fraud and apparently he will go anywhere and talk to anyone to do it. Wearing awards one hasn't legitimately received is the same as possessing burglary tools.

When you read that article it really makes it clear that this guy is mentally ill. Pretty sad.

Also makes me wonder a bit at the Faibanks PD's policies and procedures. Should have been bagged at first contact...

Prudhoe Bay is an 11 or 12 hour drive from Fairbanks, up the Dalton Highway. Coldfoot is the last place to buy gas or tires or vehicle repair until you get there. It's the end of the road, and there's nowhere else to go once you reach Deadhorse. Prudhoe Bay is also off limits to the general public, unless they're on a tour. I wonder what he was up to?
