OT - funny picture
Still digging through boxes in the basement, and I found one of those picture frames that have a bunch of smaller pictures in them. I haven't seen this one in at least 15 years.
Probably not the brightest thing I've done here, but I might as well yet again embarass myself thoroughly.
Okay, I was 19 in the picture below. And trying to look tough. And cool.
Missed on both accounts. Instead of the "Clint Eastwood" look I was going for, I think I managed...
A young PO'd Colonel Sanders!
Let the belly-laughs begin!!!

Actually you might be a good stand in for old Wes Hardin! Looking good Ysabel and nice choice of hardware! I spent much of my youth looking at the Walker Colt replica's in the JC Penny catalogue. Might still have to get one someday to get it out of my system.

You mean this lil' ol' thing?game keeper wrote:In the words from " The Three Amigo's" I'm glad you have a man's gun, not a little cissy gun!!!!
Do you still have it? Perhaps for Concealed Carry!!!!!
Yes, I still have it! Don't use it for concealed carry though - not big enough! Or rather, not strong enough!!!
For concealed carry, I prefer...
Actually - no joke - in my youth I did carry this in a shoulder holster. Of course, I lived up north, so heavy clothes and coats helped conceal it. Would be darn near impossible to lug this around concealed down here in SC!!!

Ysabel,
That's not too bad a picture. At 19 I didn't even have a handgun to pose with. Just a rifle or two I think.
What I find really interesting is that you still have that gun. I don't have any of my earliest guns, long or short.

C. Cash - I'm a reincarnated J. Welsy Hardin?!?
u.e. - Yes, looking at the old picture that was the first thing I noticed too - pi$$-poor safety practice
Joe - That handgun was the first gun I bought on my own - at 17. No age requirement on blackpowder guns back then in IN - or at least, none the seller tried to enforce!
For the most part, guns make a one-way trip into my house!!!
41 Redhawk - yep, don't you think the gray looks better?
Mike - you hit the nail on the head about this site for sure!!!

The better choice I'm telling ya Ysabel. Thanks for humoring me but I still think it's a closer match than old Harlan(thanks for the support Jeremy). Can't believe how NEW that Walker still looks after all those years. Nice Super too. I think many of us drooled over the shape of the Dragoons and Walker's for so long that the Super B's just made more sense to us than the standard gripped/fluted cylinder Blackhawks. Still love to tote and shoot mine with Federal 200 Gr. SWCHP 44 Specials.
