35 Remington

Neighbor just gave me 3 boxes of older 35 Remington ammo.

Guess I'd better buy a gun to go with it!!!

Can't think of a better reason!

I just got my first .35 Rem and love it. Can't wait to go hunting.

I was at the range yesterday with my 336 in 35 remmy. I am keeping in practice for the upcoming Maine Bear hunt. All was good, at 50 yds all shots in one ragged hole 1 inch high, at 25 yards both shots in one very nice clean hole dead nuts center(I changed the setting as per opinion from 86'er). I did this with a nasty old, can't shoot ,ain't big enough gun, with a couple melted junkyard trash wheel weights. It ain't the latest 600nitromagnumdeerassasinheadbuster but it seems to work, besides it's only the backup  .
Did I mention I really like this gun! Tom

Ammo is so expensive these days that the gun costs less than several boxes of factory ammo in some cases...

Funny you should mention it , a friend just gave me two big boxes of "old reloading stuff."
Included was have a dozen boxes of 35 Remy fired cases, two or three boxes 200 gr bullets
and about the same number boxes of 30 carbine cases. Bunch more stuff also that doesn't
pertain to this thread. Might have to buy a 35. I'll chuck the carbine cases.
