Thought you might like to see my new (old) rifle. A Win model 1876 in 45-75, and a four digit serial # (66xx). It doesn't seem to have been messed with much. I think it was made in 1877, and I can't wait to shoot it. Does anyone make brass for it with the correct headstamp? Figure black powder is the right choice for this one. Sure wish they could talk.
Thanks for lookin',

I know of two sources for properly headstamped brass. Here is one http://www.marstar.ca/ammo-etc/new-brass.shtm but they've been sold out for a while. The other source that I know of is Rocky Mountain Cartridge. They make theirs, so they are a wee bit pricey, but they do make good stuff. I use their 45-60 brass for my original '76. I think there must be other sources for Chapperal brass.
