Rossi M92 problem...what's up with this?
I apologize in advance because I know I saw the answer to this question about 100 pages or so inside the forum one day as I was casually reading away but I couldn't find it again. Here's the question:
I'm noticing a "nick" on the edge of the open end of my fired brass after it has been ejected by my M92 16" Rossi shooting .38 specials. I thought I may have read somewhere here that it may be a too-strong ejector spring or something that I need to address...is that correct? If not, what's the solution? I'm thinking that this will dramatically shorten the life of the brass for future reloads if I don't get it figured out.
Any help would be appreciated.

The cases are clipping the edge of the ejection port when ejected. Instead of ejecting straight up, ejection is at a bit of an angle. See the tip of the red arrow in the pic. That is where the contact is occurring. You can get an ejection spring which is much better, not as stiff from Steve Young, aka Nate Kiowa Jones, at stevesgunz.com.

yes, most likely the really stiff ejector spring is the problem. The main reason the stock spring is so stiff is it masks the sometimes poorly fit ejector. So, If you order just the spring you should know this spring may not work if you don’t follow the instructions in the DVD. It shows how to fit the parts and verify they work with the new spring outside the gun before you assemble it.N40W111 wrote:Thank you, gentlemen! Steve's Guns is my next stop.
