Marble Sights On a 336 CB, .38-55

I was thinking about installing a Marble tang sight on the above rifle but was told by a friend that he "thought" that the sight had to be removed to get the bolt out for cleaning. Can anyone verify this one way or the other?

AFAIK, the tang sight should fold far enough, so that the bolt will clear it on it's way out.
