WOuldn't use Gunpal for a while if I were you guys
Gunpal, or Gpal as they call it now, is having massive problemos right now, I hear they are trying to fix it all, something about one of the banks they use or whatever. Anyway, until they right their ship, i'd use another method for any transactions.

I an very leery of internet payment services, be it PayPal or GunPal. I prefer to use a debit card for purchases, so at least I have a direct line to my bank and some control of the funds transfer.

With a debit card, I found out you have very little control. It's not like a CC where you can contest a charge, you can't with a debit card. Credit Card is the safest.Mike D. wrote:I an very leery of internet payment services, be it PayPal or GunPal. Not true. I had my bank debit card number stolen a while back. I happened to catch the first unauthorized charge almost instantly, luckily. I went by the bank and they canceled the card and started the paper work on the unauthorized charge to my account. I had my money back in about two days.Chas. wrote:With a debit card, I found out you have very little control. It's not like a CC where you can contest a charge, you can't with a debit card. Actually, the Debit card is the safest method. You know when and where the money goes and the arrangement made with your bank prevents any unauthorized usage. Some idiot tried to clone my number a few years ago and was stopped at his first attempt to steal any money. I do use CCs, but those are paid in full each month, too. I carry a zero balance and avoid unneeded charges. They hate that, but too bad.

I gave up on the electronic payment schemes. If a seller won't take a check or a money order, I'll buy from somebody else.
The only exception is a bonafide business like Midway or Brownells. Those I use the debit card.
