A water cooled machine gun over the arch, cool.

Those old milk shake machines look like chrome plated R2D2s.

Ben,

You could be and probably are right. The one on the right has a cup or something at it's center that reminded me of an old milkshake machine.

That's in Claremore OK, on Route 66, my wife's home town. The guns are now located in a new facility.
The JM Davis Museum the largest private gun collection in the world

He was quit a collector. I've been there several times and usually spend all day. One of the neatest exhibits is an early 1800's gun maker shop. Besides a hand operated drill press with a big rock as a counter weight it has a wooden rifling bench. They also have a small collection of parade saddles and beer steins.

I didn't know about the new building. Guess I haven't been there lately enough.

Davis had a little money, back when guns were cheap, and he had a deal with the Tulsa PD. He had everything from Lugers to Colt SAA .32-20s that had been taken away from bad boys.

Guns magazine had a big article on Mr. Davis and his collection back in the 50's. It was almost more than a small town high school boy could get his mind around. I was in OKC on business around 10-12 years ago and drove up to Tulsa to visit my brother. Since I had the whole day, I drove thru to Claremore to see the museum. At that time they only had about half the collection on display. I had never seen so many guns and other related artifacts in one place. I do remember one display of nooses used to hang various outlaws. I would like to go again sometime. Maybe I'll get out to the Tulsa gun show next year and take a side trip.
