OT-Picked up a nice holster for Colt D.W. King Conversion.

Post by rangerider7 »

I lucked into this nice unmarked holster for my Colt New Service D.W. King conversion 44-40. They are hard to come by. This one as you can see is made exactly like the A.W. Brill holster I have. I thought y'all might want to see it.

Nice classic holster, but any King conversion (Colt or S&W) is real vintage eye candy. Perfect sights, for old eyes.
I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

Nice holster RR7. I once had a holster with no apparent, visible, makers-mark on it but while cleaning it one day found one under the loop/strap.

Nice find. I really like the looks of the basketweave holster. That Colt appears it would of been at the forefront in it's day of the high speed/low drag crowd.

Quite nice illustration of gun, sights and holster, that go together like a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sammich.

Ran out of time lately, on the "nag'em, till they make'um" King Gunsight Revival. Workin' for money is OK, but it sure takes away from life's meaningful pursuits. ;~`)

Anyway, someone better get cracking on a modern, mass produced, Brownell's obtainable, local gunsmith installable, version of King's Best. It only took JT and his fellow writer/enthusiasts three or four decades to get the .44 Spec going again. Sights are a lot smaller, so mebbe I'll see a newly mfg'd set, while I can still see'em, eh?

Thank's for the King Pics. Inspirational.
