Smells smokey outside!

Woke up this morning smelling smoke. It is from 52 forest fires burning in northern Quebec. 11 of them are still out of control. I would guess the closest is 300 km (200 miles) away. We sure could use a couple days of a good soaking rain to help out. Some of the small towns on some of the reservations have been evacuated. Extra firefighters from New Brunswick, Manitoba, and Maine have been flown in to help. A quick prayer for rain and a change in wind direction is needed I think. Up there, there is nothing but miles and miles of Jack pine that is as dry as a match.

Same here. My wife thought a neighbor's house was on fire.
Smelled smoke all last night with the window open. We need
rain here in central Maine.

Being for the Southern California you for sure have my prayers. Wild fires are one of the few things that actually scare me.

What's the latest on the fires? We have had smoke from them here for three days now. (lower Kennebec Valley)
We are not hearing much on the news, hope you are all safe.

It is getting better. Yesterday there were 16 out of control, last I heard there are now 8. They are a long piece from me but there are approx 2000 people evacuated to a safer place. Thanks to the states of Maine and RI for sending assistance. Latest news 45 fires burning 8 out of control with a forecast of a little rain tonight and a change of wind direction. Thanks to all and keep up the good thoughts.

been trying to send you some of the rain we have all too much of.

this part of the country is fixing to set some wet spring records.

wish we could swap out about half.
