Seville .45LC SA

Post by rodeo kid »

Well, I just bought a Seville .45LC revolver. It was made by Sporting Arms Inc. Tucson, Ariz. Seems to be really well made and from what little I could find out about it between a USFA and Freedom Arms in quality(closer to USFA). I have always been attracted to something different, when I first became a Deputy Sheriff in 1972 everyone had a S&W model 65 or 66 revolver, so what did I buy, a Colt Python of course. One other guy had a Ruger and all 39 other Patrol Deputies had S&W. So does anyone have one of these or know anything about them? I have a Colt SAA and 2 USFA's and it compares well to them. Thanks.

Rodeo Kid:

Lee Martin's Singleactions.com has a section on the Sevilles. Linky is here:

I can appreciate your enthusiasm for something different---I've somehow ended up mostly a Colt double action revolver man, well, except for S&W's N frames.

Happy to help out! I just knew I remembered seeing that information somewhere, it just took me a while to remember where.

I'm bad about taking pictures and posting them, so I won't urge you to, but if you have the chance . . . .

Congrats on the Seville and please post a pic if you can. I have the predecessor US Arms Abilene and the quality is superb.

Just remembered , hopefully correctly, that when I was shooting IHMSA, the Seville in 357Max was THE hot revolver and was tough to beat as they were shooters
