first try at posting a pic

Post by Olevern »

O.K., so I took some pics of a levergun today in preparation for selling it on GunBroker and thought it turned out pretty good, so thought I might attempt my first pic. post to any forum here, especially since the powers that be have thoughtfully provided a step-by-step instruction thread that even I could understand. So here goes, hope it posts:

"Whatcha got in the holster?"

My stainless steel Ruger Bisley Blackhawk 45 colt. 5 1/2". Doesn't match the cal of the rifle, but it was just used for an additional prop for the pic. I find that when posting a gun for sale on the big three, nice pics equals higher bids.

why sell the rifle on GB? Have you tried here in the classifieds first?

Why sell the gun on gbroker? Well, to be painfully honest, because people with deep pockets and little sense frequently buy there. If you're gonna part with a nice piece, you might as well get a nice price for it. I plan to start it at $545.00 and see where it goes.
If I were to sell it to a pard, I would want to see he got a fair deal, not so much on gbroker.

As for the details, it is a new condition 44 mag with one very slight defect, a small dent in the left side of the forearm finish and two very small scratches right above the dent in the bbl. blue. Almost unnoticible in inside light, but anoher reason I photographed it outside in strong light, so the pics would clearly show this area.

Overall, a nice piece, but I am selling it to purchase another Marlin cowboy.

Welcome to the fire.
Great first pic! I think you'll fit in just fine :D
Fair prices sell pretty quick in the forum. Beyond that GB is your best bet, don't blame you a bit for giving it a shot!
