Saw an ad for a new commemorative in the most recent American Rifleman.
Did the Duke ever use a '73?
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I can't remember a single movie where JW used a 73. All I remember was 92s. There are a few I haven't seen so it might be possible.
I saw that add too. I didn't do anything for me. Just didn't look like John Wayne.

I never saw him use a 73 either.
I did see him use a Mac-10 in McQ, but I hope we don't get a commerative John Wayne Mac-10!

I saw that gun and thought it'd be a lot of fun to fill deer tags with it.

I do not ever recall The Duke carrying an 1873. He always preferred the Model 92. If he would only have brought it with him to the Alamo things might have turned out different.
The 1873 however was used in The Searchers but was not carried by John Wayne.

+1 Heck, the Duke used a '92 even in movies set before 1892!
